Liangyu here. Just wanna say a few things.

Firstly, the class chalet. It will be on 30sept to 2nd oct. 30sept will just be the preparation and on the 1st of oct will be the actual gathering. To those who are going, please pay US$15 for it. Ok, it's S$15. xDD. Regardless of the amount of people going, the chalet will still be on. Please confirm with Wei Ping, Guo Wei and Bevis if you are going by 20sept. Hope to see you guys there.

And by the way, we have a special Guest of Honor. Who was once a English teacher of ours, Mr Fahmy.

First of all, I sincerely apologise for not keeping my promise for keeping the blog alive.

Been really busy with school, serious. I've been living like a vampire for the last 2 months. I sleep when the Sun rises, and stay awake when the Sun sets.

Technically speaking, I have not let the Sun rays bathe on me for the past 2 months, so I'm quite fair-skinned now. Ha-ha-ha.

Okay, enough talking. I'm sure most of you here know that Monday's TEACHERS DAY! Yes, TEACHERS DAY. Just to help spread the word, some of us are planning to prepare stuff for our dear teachers tomorrow. For more information, do contact our MONITOR. :)

In case all of you have been wondering how your fellow classmates have been doing recently, I can briefly describe a few of them.

Jason: I met him on the bus weeks ago. He shaved his long fringe away; now it looked like some bangs. Also, he's quite well-mannered and cultured! This change must've been RP's education system that tired him out. :P

Yu Shan: Ah Lian! Now chionging/already chionged her korean drama Boys Over Flowers/Boys Before Flowers. (Can't remember the name.)

Fang Ning: Ah ma LOST WEIGHT. I'm serious!

Wee Kee: He looks cuter each time I see him~ <3>

Siong Po: His hair is uber LONG~~~

Freddy Tan YOKE SENG: He looks so much cuter now, so cute that girls will start running after him and pinch his rosy cheeks~~~!!! :D

Alvin: No change. Still the same shorty we all know. xD

Qi Hao: Less crazy. Very stressed because he's working hard in JC, very emo. :/

I believe that the holidays have already started for all of us, and according to Liang Yu and Derrick, I also believe that there will be a class gathering, right? :)

Either way, it's been a really long time since we've met as a class, I really miss all of you very much. Life in another school just doesn't seem... very welcoming, well, not very warm in my opinion at least. :/

What about the rest of you? How have all of you been? Good? I hope so. HAHAHAHA..!!! xD

Bah, even though I have just finished my mid-term examinations, I still have endless projects to complete. Whoever's the wise guy who said that life in polytechnic is very comfortable and slack deserves to be poked in the eyes and slapped with a fish. =.=

But hey, I believe that everyone has been having a hard time to adjust to your new school right? Be it a polytechnic, an ITE or private institute, everyone has many things to handle.

Still, as long as we have not forgotten one another, that's the best. :D

Good morning dear 5A1, this is DJ Andrew in the house. :D
It's been a while since I contributed to the class blog. I've been really busy. :/
Anyway class, how have things been turning out in your new school? Do you all like it? :)
As for me, it really isn't easy to cope with polytechnic studies, especially when I'm "sabo-ed" to be the class rep of my class for at least a semester. (Now I know how Derrick feels when he was our class monitor... STRESS!!) xD
Aside from that, given 5 subjects for the first semester, that means I have five homework to complete EVERY week, not including the online quizzes, projects and assignments.
As I'm typing, I have a make-up lecture today. Since labour day was a public holiday, students need to come back today so that they can cover the subjects on time.
And THANK GOD that I learned POA in 5A1 because the Business Accounting subject in my course is going through all the concepts REALLY FAST, like LIANG YU PCC-ING IN SCHOOL. xD
Oh yea, talking about him, LIANG YU, WHERE ARE YOU BRO?! I MISS YOU LEHH!

As for the guys in 5A1, all of you have been leaving your hair really long ah, BAD BOYS! >:(
I tried to keep my hair long too, but because of my CCA, my hair needs to be a SHAVED, BUZZ HAIR CUT. WTF man.

First of all, I’d to apologise for not keeping the class blog alive as promised. I’ve been facing a little bit of difficulties, especially during this period of economic crisis. Therefore, I’d like all of you to excuse my long absence.

Now that I’m having a short break from all the tiring work, let’s talk about what happened last week. :D

Last week, our boys went out to experience the “oh-so-romantic” attraction at night, just to get away from the busy and stressful life harboured in Singapore.

Good evening dear 5A1, this is DJ Andrew in the house. :)

Congratulations to our dear classmates who are bored to death at the moment. We currently have an outing available for anyone interested to participate in.

That’s right; this outing is called none other than…
OPERATION: PIMPING Confucious Song Liang Yu. :D

Ultimately, we want to pimp Liang Yu up. He has good looks, but lacks some nice clothes. So, after pimping him, he will look like those kind of “extreme makeover” people. You know… the before and after effect. O_o

So, if done correctly, after shopping, he should look something like this:

The outing will be on a Thursday, the time of meeting is yet to be decided by the votes of anyone who are available to go on a window-shopping spree with Confucious Song Liang Yu and myself.

Basically, for that whole day, we will be travelling from Orchard Road’s classy shopping centres to the young and hip’s Bugis street in search for CLOTHES. Other locations are yet to be stated. It will be more preferable if a SALE is going on during our window-shopping spree. xD

Now, what’s going to happen is that we are going to look out for formal clothes for Liang Yu and for anyone else who is enrolled into polytechnic or ITE. This is because while there are many SALES going on at the moment, we want to prepare Liang Yu and the rest of our fellow classmates some nice set of formal clothes so that they can use them for their polytechnic or ITE presentations.

I understand that most of our classmates do not really have many clothes to wear when they start school, especially for presentations. Presentations takes up a lot of marks for your examinations.

So whatever it may be; shirts, pants, skirts, blazers, ties, belts, vests, hats, cardigans, blah blah blah.

So, for those who have money to spend or for those who are interested to see what are the latest fashion and designs for formal wear, do let Song Liang Yu know if you are going.

REMINDER: It will be a very tiring outing as we will be running from place to place.
Remember, the day will be on Thursday. The day may change depending on the majority.

Due to some disputes within our class, we have a visitor/classmate/random fella who is currently unsatisfied with a post. So, giving that person the benefit of an adult (I don't really see you as one though), it is decided that the post will be removed to prevent further conflicts.

Diplomacy yea? I'm a very negotiable person, and because today's Valentine's Day, I will forgive that person's rash actions, that's because I love my class and my classmates, unlike you, hurting my poor little heart.T_T

Things like 'wa lao' and 'WTH' displays profound hatred. Those hurt my feelings. I mean, we are human afterall, so please be more mindful with your language? Okay? Thank you so much darling! I wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! :D

Good day everyone. This is DJ Andrew in the house. :)

As I have some time to spare, I'd like to contribute some of it here, since no one really wants to keep this blog up and running. I will be here rather often, so do drop by and keep in touch with our lovely class, if possible.

I understand that many things have happened. Most of us have gotten our posting results, while others are still pending for an appeal. Just as what our dear handsome man, Mr. Song Liang Yu had mentioned, it doesn't matter where you are, just do your best, and you will be fine. :)

For those of you who are fine revealing your enrollment, do let our class know, or let me know, so I can sort out the allocation of where our classmates are going to. You know, future references and stuff.

There have been discussions of an outing for our class before any of us start schooling in JC, poly, ITE, NAFA, MI etc. So do let us (actually, just find Derrick, and let him) know when each of you are available.

Venue : HS Canteen
Period of time : 22 Sep to 17 Oct 2008 (Preparation for GCE "N" and "O" Levels Examinations)
Frequency : Mon, Wed and Fri (with CDAC classes taking place) from 6 - 9 pm

Objectives:
1) Provide a platform for graduating students to form learning groups to prepare for coming examinations
Advantages:
1) Motivational, cost saving (from studying outside), peer tutoring, inculcating a study "culture"

Students coming to night class must be:
- in proper attire (school PE / CCA / Class T-shirt with home bottoms and shoes)
- disciplined in group study and not disturb the rest.

Kukup Educational Tour

The traffic jam was pretty bad at the immigration centres this morning and we were delayed by almost 2 hours. We had to cancel our visit to the pewter factory and proceed to a local restaurant for breakfast. After that we took almost 1.5 hour to reach our next destination -kukup village. As it poured suddenly, we had to take our lunch at High King restaurant first instead of going to the fish farm. Most of the students finished up the 5 dishes - vegetables, chilli crab, steam prawns, cuttlefish ball, sweet and sour fish and I asked for one more dish - fried egg tofu for 3 tables. After that we had pineapple for dessert.
The rain stopped and we went up the boat which brought us to the fish farm. I was quite hesistant in going up the boat as I hurt my back but I must say the students were most pleasant as they helped me along the way.
On our way to the fish farm, we could see kukup island and the tour guide told us that it is the 2nd largest mangrove island in the world. As the study of natural vegetation is included in the new syllabus, I might arrange for one trip for the students to look at the mangrove on the island. The tour guide also told the students that most of the villagers in kukup are Chinese and that a temple as well as a primary school can be found in the village. The houses are located near to each other as they share the water pipes (nucleated settlement pattern) and as the village is built on mangrove ground, they have to raise the houses on stilts to prevent the houses from being flooded.
The students enjoyed themselves at the fish farm (kelong) as they were shown the fishes reared in the farm as well as interesting seafood such as the horse shoe crab -I didn't know that it can be eaten and thought that it was a cray fish. There is increase interest in aquaculture and blue revolution has been included in the new Geography syllabus. The students have to look at the need for fish farming to increase our food supply as the world population increases.
After that we went to the fruit farm and the students were allowed to sample some fruits. The students were shown interesting fruit trees such as the dragon fruit tree. We also bought some of the fruits such as cempudat ( a kind of jackfruit).
Our last stop was Jusco and I was quite upset as some of them did not report on time after being given some time to shop - though they were sweet enough to buy some teacher's day gifts for the teachers.
I must say I am really grateful to the teachers who had sacrificed their time to help out in the trip - Mr Fahizal, Mr Ng and Mr Jude Ang. Of course I have to thank our humorous tour guide, Doris, who had made our tour most enjoyable.

Remember our educational tour on 30 Aug (sat). Total 45 students (26 from 5A1 and 19 from 5A2)Report before 7 a.m. We will depart at 7 a.m. sharp. We will visit a pewter factory, a fish farm (kelong by boat), the village (settlement study), a fruit farm and a shopping mall. We will also be having the seafood lunch at kukup. National Stamp Collection Competition

Anyone interested in forming a team of 4 for the above competition. Last year we had a team which won Gold and 3 teams for Bronze. Will contribute to your portfolio - especially for those who like stamp collection. There will be a workshop in March/April and then you have to create an album with the stamps and write-up based on a theme. Last year we had groups working on transport and birds.
